You know that I’ve been a HUGE fan of Popbasic since I bought my first collection from them – the Sherwood Collection and from there, I’ve managed to be the enabler to Tine and LeGeeque. Yeah, I’m tricky like that Image may be NSFW.

Their soon-to-be-released collection will be out on the 2nd April 2014 (put it in your diaries or subscribe to their email notifications!!) and this time the Ashbury Collection features the one thing I’ve been waiting for – a leather skirt. And, it’s not just any leather skirt, it’s VEGAN! So for those of you who don’t wear leather, this is an amazing opportunity to grab yourself one! I was at first a little bit skeptical of the fact that a) it’s a rather long skirt, stopping just below the knee b) has pleats. Upon closer inspection though, I noticed the pleats aren’t like the ones on the Sherwood maxi skirt. It’s more an A-Line style skirt which have been put together with panels of vegan leather. Meaning it doesn’t open up and add bulk to your hips. Perfect!
LeGeeque actually sent me a message asking me to style the collection, just to give her some ideas on how she can wear the skirt. So I’ve put together 4 fashion boards to get the ball rolling.

For that casual Sunday catch up with some friends or family, why not team the Ashbury skirt with a simple t-shirt? Throw on a fitted denim jacket to give your look some structure while keeping warm. Complete your look with a simple bangle (the Wishbone one from the Sunday Collection if you’ve got it), a pair of flats and a crossbody satchel to store your essentials. Girly, yet edgy at the same time!

When I glammed up the chambray shirt last week, Tine asked if I could show her how to style a lighter wash chambray. I took up her challenge and styled it with the Ashbury leather skirt. Worn over the Ashbury tank, you can either unbutton the shirt and wear it with the bottom part tied up or, button it all up and tuck it into the skirt. Glam it up with the Gwyne necklace and add a pair of brogues and a leather clutch.

Keep it warm in Winter with a roll neck top worn with the skirt. Add a cape cinched at the waist, a red beret for that nice pop of colour and some buckle ankle boots and a barrel style bag to complete your look.

Looking for that girly yet edgy mix? Why not team the whole Ashbury collection with a skull motif jumper. Add a cloche hat if you want to dress up your outfit a little bit more and complete your look with a pair of pointed ankle boots and a fringed crossbody bag for that edgy boho mix.
